Dr. William D. Allen is a mission-driven trumpeter, educator, and community impact leader who believes the arts are more than performance — they are leadership training in motion. Born and raised in La Marque, Texas, Dr. Allen’s musical journey began with the trumpet and grew into a lifelong commitment to excellence, discipline, and service.
After earning a band scholarship to Southern University A&M, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. Over the next 19 years, Dr. Allen served in education leadership across band and choir, mentoring young people and building programs that shape confidence, character, and community pride.
In 2019, he founded The Texas Supremacy of Music & Arts Conservatory (TSMAC), a nonprofit dedicated to teaching urban performing arts with a special emphasis on HBCU culture. Through performance excellence, mentorship, and opportunity-driven programming, TSMAC has served more than 1,500 students — creating pathways for youth to lead on stage and beyond.
Dr. Allen’s dedication has been recognized with a Grammy for Band Instruction (2021) and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award (2024). Today, he continues to partner with schools and communities to strengthen arts programs, develop leaders, and build a legacy of culture-centered excellence.
